キラキラ光る絵の具を塗り重ねる。この色は心の色だ。

病気を機に生を実感した時、私の中で何かが光った。

それは単純に生きてて良かったという喜びであろうし、もしかしたら闇から見えた光なのかもしれない。

生きていると絶望も希望もあり、その様々な感情が色彩に変わる。

それを木版や水彩で表現しています。

artist statement

The colors I use are the colors of my heart. 

And on them, I apply glitter paint over and over. 

Once I was ill. Something shone in me 

and I realized I was alive. 

It may have been the joy of living. 

Or it may have been the light I saw from the darkness. 

Being alive means fun, but also sadness, desperation, and hope. 

Many different emotions turn into different colors. 

And I express them on Japanese paper, using woodblocks and watercolor.
